Biography

I am Zhenyi Wang (王臻懿), currently a Ph.D. candidate at the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, University of Macau (UM). I am also a member of Smart Energy Group in State Key Laboratory of Internet of Things for Smart City (SKL-IOTSC), and the awardee of SKL-IOTSC-funded Studentship. At UM, I am supervised by Prof. Hongcai Zhang, focusing on demand response and trustworthy AI.

Before joining UM, I earned my B.E. degree in cybersecurity from Sichuan University in 2021, where were supervised by Prof. Beibei Li for smart grid security, and worked with Prof. Haizhou Wang for social network depression detection.

Aug. 27, 2024: Congratulations! Our paper “Improving Model Generalization for Short-Term Customer Load Forecasting with Causal Inference” has been accepted by IEEE Transactions on Smart Grid.

May 16, 2024: I have passed the Qualifying Examination (QE) and Thesis Proposal Assessment (TPA), and became a Ph.D. candidate. Keep working hard!

Mar. 25, 2024: I will visit the Electrical Energy Systems and Applications group at KU Leuven from Aug. 2024 and work with Prof. Geert Deconinck.

Feb. 22, 2024: Congratulations! Our paper “When Pre-Training Model Meets Smart Meter Data Applications: A Preliminary Trial of General Way” has been accepted by 2024 IEEE Power & Energy Society General Meeting (PESGM). I will give the oral presentation at 2024 IEEE PESGM held July 21–25 2024 in Seattle, Washington.

Feb. 8, 2024: Congratulations! Our paper “Customized Load Profiles Synthesis for Electricity Customers Based on Conditional Diffusion Models” has been accepted by IEEE Transactions on Smart Grid.

Dec. 21, 2023: Congratulations! Our paper “Customer Baseline Load Estimation for Virtual Power Plants in Demand Response: An Attention Mechanism-Based Generative Adversarial Networks Approach” has been accepted by Applied Energy.

Sept. 20, 2022: Congratulations! Our paper “Consumer Baseline Load Estimation in Demand Response: A Generative Adversarial Networks Approach” has been accepted by the 6th IEEE Conference on Energy Internet and Energy System Integration (EI2). I will give the oral presentation at IEEE EI2 2022 held Nov 11–13, 2022 in Chengdu, China.

Oct. 21, 2021: Great news! We have won the First Prize and the only Best Innovation Award at the 2021 Contest of AI Application in Power Dispatching organized by China Southern Power Grid. Check the news!
